Description

A Silver color metal insignia consisting of a wooden horse statant.


Symbolism

The horse alludes to the wooden horse used at the city of Troy during the Trojan War, from which city, Troy, New York, received its name and where the organization was originally organized in 1921.


Background

The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 352d Engineer Regiment on 26 April 1930.  It was amended to be manufactured in pairs on 24 June 1930.  The insignia was redesignated for the 75th Engineer Construction Battalion on 5 June 1952.
